Life insurance in Washington
Life insurance, without the sales pitch.
Two products cover almost everyone: term, which is cheap and lasts a set number of years, and whole life, which costs more and never expires. Everything else is a variation. We'll tell you which one fits, what your family would actually need, and what it costs — from $24 a month.
We only need 3 things to tell you if you can pay less
- 1Your name
- 2Your address
- 3Your date of birth
That's it. We do the rest and tell you whether there's something cheaper for you.

Two products, one decision
Term or whole life
The honest version: if you have a mortgage and young kids, term does the job for a fraction of the price. Whole life earns its keep for final expenses and when you want something that doesn't end.
Term life
You choose a length — 10, 20 or 30 years — and a payout. If you die within it, your family gets the money. If you don't, the policy simply ends. From about $24 a month.
Whole life
Covers you for life and builds cash value you can borrow against. Costs several times more than term for the same payout, which is the trade-off.
Final expense
A small whole life policy, usually $10,000–$25,000, built to cover a funeral so the family doesn't have to raise the money in a week.
Through your employer
Usually one or two times salary, and it ends the day the job does. Treat it as a bonus, not as the plan.
A quote is not an application. Nothing is binding and nobody will call you unless you ask.
How much coverage a family actually needs
There's a rule of thumb and then there's the real calculation. The rule of thumb is ten times your income. The real one takes about four minutes:
- 1
Start with what would stop
Your income, for as many years as your family would need to recover — usually until the youngest child finishes school.
- 2
Add what would come due
The mortgage balance, any car loans, credit cards, and a funeral. This is the part people underestimate most.
- 3
Subtract what already exists
Savings, an employer policy, a spouse's income. What's left is the number your policy should cover — not a round figure someone sold you.
What it costs
The same policy, six different prices
Life insurance is where carrier underwriting varies most. Health history that one company rates up, another one ignores. It is worth asking all six.

Carrier 1: cheapest for this profile
An example of how we compare: for the same profile, the gap between the cheapest and the most expensive carrier is $28 a month. We don't label which carrier is which because the order changes for every person — you get the name with your quote. Your real price depends on your age, your ZIP code, your record and what each carrier approves.

Life insurance questions
How much is life insurance in Washington?
Term life starts around $24 a month for a healthy adult. The real number depends on your age, your health, whether you smoke, and the payout and length you choose.
Do I need a medical exam?
For most policies at common coverage amounts, no. There are health questions, and answering them honestly matters — an inaccurate answer is the main reason a claim gets denied years later.
Can I get life insurance without a social security number?
In many cases yes, with an ITIN. It narrows which carriers will consider the application and it is one of the clearest examples of why six carriers beat one.
Is the payout taxed?
A life insurance death benefit is generally not subject to federal income tax for the beneficiary. We're insurance agents, not tax advisers, so check anything unusual with an accountant.
What happens if I stop paying?
A term policy lapses and coverage ends. A whole life policy may keep going for a while out of its cash value. Either way, tell us before you stop — there is almost always a better option than lapsing.
Starting prices are the lowest monthly premium we've placed for a qualifying driver or household in Washington, not a quote. Your price depends on your ZIP code, your record, your vehicle and what each carrier approves.
